Missouri Google Ads that turn clicks into customers

Google Ads is a leverage tool: pay for a click at the top of the search results and, if the campaign is set up right, get back more revenue than you spent. Where it goes sideways is the "set up right" part. Missouri owners come to us after burning through a few thousand dollars on a campaign that a self-service agency built once and never touched again, and after seeing an invoice that shows spend but no measurable calls or form fills.

Good Google Ads for a Missouri small business is not exotic. It is careful targeting (the right towns, the right radius, the right times of day), sharp ad copy that matches the search, a landing page that keeps the promise the ad made, and daily-to-weekly monitoring so wasted spend gets caught before it adds up. Everything else is fine-tuning.

What we set up on every Missouri Google Ads campaign

Before we run a dollar of your ad spend, the foundation goes in:

  • 1. Conversion tracking. Every form submit, every phone call, every meaningful click. If we cannot measure it, we cannot optimize it. Most Missouri accounts we take over were spending real money with no working conversion tracking. That is fixed in week one.
  • 2. Call tracking. Dynamic phone numbers that swap in for Google Ads visitors so we can attribute a call directly to a campaign, ad group, and keyword. Recorded so you can hear whether the leads are quality. Your main office number stays yours.
  • 3. Geo-targeting. Missouri towns and radii that match where you actually serve customers. Not "the whole state" or "50 miles from the Lake". Tight is better. Someone in Cape Girardeau clicking a Camdenton contractor's ad wastes money for both of you.
  • 4. Negative keywords. The searches that look relevant but are not. "Cheap", "free", "jobs", "salary", competitor brand names, industry generic terms your business does not sell. A well-groomed negative list is often the single biggest lever on ad efficiency.
  • 5. Landing page match. The page a Google Ads click lands on should confirm the exact thing the searcher was looking for. A "concrete driveway Camdenton" ad points at a driveway page, not the homepage. We build the landing pages if you need them, or optimize what you have.

How we manage Missouri PPC accounts monthly

Weekly light checks. Wasted-spend review, negative keyword additions from the past week's search terms, budget pacing, obviously underperforming ads paused, obviously winning ads scaled. Nothing dramatic. Small consistent adjustments beat big monthly overhauls.

Monthly deeper work. A/B test new ad copy, adjust bids by device and time of day, prune keywords that spent without converting, add new landing pages for search patterns we did not anticipate. Update the report and walk through it with you if you want.

Your Google Ads account stays under your business name. You have full admin access. If you fire us in year two, the account, the historical data, the conversion tracking, and the account structure all stay with you. No lock-in.

Missouri Google Ads pricing

Two separate things. Your ad spend goes directly to Google, billed to your card in your Google Ads account. Our management fee is separate and paid to us. We do not mark up ad spend and we do not take a percentage of media (which is the model that quietly rewards agencies for spending more of your money).

Our management fee is a flat monthly retainer sized to the account complexity: number of campaigns, number of geo areas, number of ad groups, whether we are also building the landing pages. Small local Missouri accounts (one town, one service) start low. Larger accounts (multi-metro Missouri coverage, several services, ecommerce, or high-competition industries like law and home services) scale up. Written quote before you sign.

Recommended ad spend depends on your industry and competitiveness. We can suggest a starting monthly budget that gives the campaign enough data to actually learn, and adjust from there.

What Missouri industries we run ads for

Same industry mix as our website and SEO work, which is deliberate: the ads perform best when the landing pages we built, the SEO we are running, and the ad campaign all point the same direction. Industry landing pages if you want a closer look:

FAQ

Common questions

What does Google Ads management cost?

Flat monthly fee sized to the account. Small local Missouri campaigns start low. Multi-metro or multi-service accounts scale up. We do not mark up media or take a percentage of your ad spend, which keeps our incentives on results instead of on getting you to spend more. Written quote before you sign.

How much should I spend on Google Ads?

Depends on your industry, service area, and average job value. A concrete contractor at the Lake with an average job in the low five figures can justify a few thousand a month once it is working. A Springfield attorney whose case value is much higher can justify more. A restaurant might spend a few hundred on seasonal event promotion. We recommend a starting budget after we look at your average customer value and the current cost-per-click in your Missouri market.

How long until Google Ads produce results?

Faster than SEO. Once conversion tracking is in and the campaign goes live, calls and form fills start coming in the same day. The first four to six weeks are learning: Google is figuring out who to show your ads to, we are pruning what is not working, and cost-per-lead usually drops meaningfully by week six or eight. That is when the account starts feeling efficient rather than experimental.

Can you take over our existing Google Ads account?

Yes, and we prefer that. Your historical data is valuable and starting from a fresh account throws it away. We request access as an admin, audit what is there, fix the obvious problems in the first two weeks, and then optimize from a running start. Your billing stays on your card, your account name does not change.

How do you track the calls that come in from Google Ads?

Dynamic call tracking numbers. A visitor from Google Ads sees a tracking number on your site that forwards to your real number and records the call. We can attribute the call all the way back to which keyword drove it and how long it lasted. Your regular customers, referrals, and organic visitors still see your normal number. It is invisible to the caller and legal in Missouri.

Should I do Google Ads and SEO together or pick one?

Ideally both, because they work at different speeds and cover different intent. Google Ads produces calls now while SEO builds organic ranking that pays back over months and years. Ads also teach us which search phrases actually convert, which then feeds the SEO content plan. But if the budget is tight, pick one. Newer businesses that need calls this month should start with ads. Established businesses with a slow lead pipeline should start with SEO. We will tell you honestly which fits.
