Server rack with glowing status indicators representing managed WordPress hosting

Managed Hosting & Care

Missouri managed WordPress hosting and care.

Fast servers, regular backups, software kept up to date, and a real person who answers the phone. WordPress hosting and site care for Missouri businesses at the Lake of the Ozarks, in Jefferson City, Columbia, Springfield, Kansas City, and St. Louis. Since 2006. Sites we built, sites we did not, all the same care. Call (573) 746-2417.

What managed hosting covers

Managed WordPress hosting is the whole stack of things that keep a live business site running fast and cared for without you having to think about any of it.

Fast infrastructure

Modern PHP, MariaDB, Caddy, and Cloudflare edge caching worldwide. Missouri visitors get sub-second page loads. So do national visitors.

Regular backups

Full site plus database, backed up on a regular schedule and stored off the server. We test-restore periodically. Bad backups are worse than none because they lie to you.

Software kept current

WordPress core releases apply in a supervised change window. Plugin updates run on a schedule. The software under your site stays up to date.

Routine care

Small fixes, quick questions, and regular upkeep are part of the plan, not a new invoice every time something needs a nudge.

Plugin & theme updates

Auto-updated on a schedule tuned to your site. If an update breaks something, we roll back to a recent backup while we investigate.

One phone number

Site slow, form not sending, DNS question, SSL warning. Call us. No "hosting team" and "maintenance team" and "billing team" handoffs.

Why unmanaged WordPress bites

Most Missouri owners we take on have been on one of three setups: cheap shared hosting from a national brand (GoDaddy, Bluehost, HostGator, DreamHost), a friend-of-a-friend hosting arrangement, or a "we set it up ourselves once" account nobody has logged into in three years. All three have the same failure mode: everything looks fine until it does not, and when it fails, there is nobody to call.

Cheap shared hosting is oversold by design. You share a server with hundreds of other sites. When one of them gets hit with traffic or a security exploit, everyone's site slows down or goes offline. Support is a chat window in Manila with a script. Backups are advertised but often not restorable when you actually need them.

The self-managed route works right up until WordPress ships a critical security patch on a Tuesday night, a plugin update breaks the site on a Friday afternoon, or someone brute-forces the login page over a weekend. At that point the "we handle it ourselves" arrangement costs a lot more than a monthly hosting fee, and it costs your time, which is the resource you have least of.

Managed hosting removes the class of problems that eat Missouri owners' weekends. Fixed monthly cost, predictable, one call for anything.

Our Missouri hosting stack

Under the hood, in plain English, so you know what you are paying for:

  • · Cloudflare edge. Every site sits behind Cloudflare's global CDN. Static content is cached at data centers in Kansas City, St. Louis, Chicago, Dallas, and hundreds of other locations. A visitor in Osage Beach gets your homepage from a Missouri or nearby edge, not from a server halfway across the country.
  • · Isolated per-site containers. Every WordPress site runs in its own PHP-FPM container. If one site has a runaway process, it does not touch your neighbors. Cleaner isolation than typical shared hosting.
  • · Caddy web server. Automatic HTTPS via Let's Encrypt, HTTP/3, Brotli compression, zero-touch certificate renewal.
  • · MariaDB database. Backed up on a regular schedule and tuned per site.
  • · Two independent backup layers. Site-level backups plus full-server snapshots, both on a regular schedule. If one fails, the other is there.
  • · One person to call. The person who set up your site is the person who answers when something needs changing. No ticket queue, no handoffs.
  • · Update window control. Auto-updates run inside weekday business hours only. If something goes wrong, a human is at a keyboard, not asleep.

Missouri WordPress hosting pricing

Two tiers. Managed hosting for the technical side (server, backups, and software updates) starts low and covers most brochure sites. Comprehensive care adds hands-off site maintenance: unlimited content edits, WordPress and plugin updates handled, you never touch the admin unless you want to. Most owners land on care because their time is more valuable than the difference. WooCommerce, membership sites, and unusual-traffic sites get quoted individually.

A real person answers the phone. Not a chat window in Manila with a script.

FAQ

Common questions

What does Missouri WordPress hosting cost per month?

Two tiers: managed hosting and comprehensive care. Managed hosting starts low and covers the technical side. Comprehensive care adds hands-off updates and unlimited content edits and lands in the range most owners want because it removes WordPress from their to-do list entirely. WooCommerce and membership sites get quoted individually. Written quote before you commit.

Can you migrate our site from GoDaddy, Bluehost, or another host?

Yes, and migration is included at no charge for sites moving to our care plan. We spin up a copy on our servers, test everything, then cut over DNS during a scheduled window. No downtime, email keeps flowing (we do not touch your MX records unless you ask), and if something goes wrong we roll back cleanly. Most migrations complete in a few business days start to finish.

Do I still own my site and my domain?

Yes. Your domain stays at whichever registrar you already use (GoDaddy, Namecheap, Google Domains, wherever). We just point the DNS at our servers. The WordPress install, database, uploads, and every piece of content belong to you. If you ever leave, we hand over a full site backup and help point DNS to the new host. No lock-in.

What is your uptime like?

Sites we build load fast and stay up. Hosting runs on modern infrastructure with a CDN in front, so cached pages keep serving to visitors even when a server needs attention. Scheduled maintenance runs late night Central time on the weekend and is announced in advance.

What happens if an update breaks my site?

We roll back to a recent backup and sort out what went wrong before trying again. Updates run during weekday business hours, so a person is at the keyboard if anything needs attention. Included in the monthly fee, whether or not we originally built the site.

Will you host a site you did not build?

Yes. About half the sites on our Missouri hosting stack were built by someone else. We do an intake audit (theme, plugins, database health, backup history) and give you a written report of anything worth fixing before migration. Some sites are healthy and just need a new home. Others need cleanup, which we can quote separately. Either way, once you are on our infrastructure, the ongoing care is the same.
